Magic Time 1/4 Body Review

Hello everyone! I recently finished my Fairyland/Magic Time hybrid, and since there aren't many reviews around and the body has changed, I thought I'd make one!

I purchased the white color about a month ago, through their taobao shop. It took one month to finish and be ready to ship, which is a very good time for a BJD company. You can also purchase it from Ebay if it is more convenient. At the moment, it costs about 140 euros + shipping.

Warning for Doll Nudity

So here it is! Currently I am using it with my Fairyline Lucywen Head. I think they are a good match, color-wise, but the body is a bit creamier than the head, which seems a bit more of a cool toned white. Nothing that can't be fixed with slight blushing
As for the fit, you obviously need a neck donut, if you want to put a fairyland head on. Magic Time provided me with one of their own, but it needs modding in order to fit the standard Fairyland Minifee/Fairyline head.

The body on its own is very pretty. I've sueded it a bit on the hip joints and under the bust piece, and it poses pretty well. The only thing that I don't like aesthetically is the feet, as they are a but too big for the body. Also the joint in the midsection of the torso is a bit weird. It doesn't help move back and forth much, the only motion it achieves is a better side to side. A more traditional mobility joint would have been better.

I put her side to side with my Minifee Chloe, to make some comparisons, since the MNF body is one of my best posers.
To be fair, the Chloe is on the Moe Line body, that means that the feet are much smaller than the MT body (which means less stability) and also, obviously, since it has a 2-part torso compared to MT 3-part torso, it has a smaller range of movements, but not that much.
They both stand equally well and can sit, but they both have the tendency to lean backwards.

The MT body can sit on her legs much better than the minifee, and also sits with her legs splayed to the front much better. The minifee can do it too, but looks a bit awkward at this pose.

They can arch their back and lay on their stomach equally well, but the minifee can do it without sueding and can hold her balance better while doing it. I haven't tried to balance the MT on one foot, because to be honest, I can't balance my minifee on one foot either

Here are some additional poses that the MT body can do, since it has a 3-part torso. Sitting while slouching forward is possible, but would look awkward with her clothes off.

In conclusion I am pleased with this body. The pose-ability comparison with the m-line is not 100% fair, it would have been better suited to compare with an A-line body, in which case, the A-line would probably win. There are also details that make it less aesthetically pleasing, like the big feet, the fact that it doesn't have magnetic hands (and feet), the fact that the magnets on the back are visible. However for the price point (148 USD currently) you are paying almost 1/2 of the price you'd pay for a Minifee Body  so it is definitely something to consider.
